I'm kidding, of course! You know I love you.
This one is two and a half because it sort of boarders on the same theme as yesterday's Truth post about Cleveland, the Burning River City.
Cleveland rocks! That theme I told you about up there? That's the theme of commercials or infomercials that aren't real (that should be) about places that actually exist.
I thought about finding commercials for places that didn't exist, but I felt like I'd be losing focus on the point of these posts.
Well, losing more focus, that is.
Today, we're going to Halifax, Nova Scotia. The video is by a sketch group called picnicface. They're also responsible for the Powerthirst video I posted in a previous Is it Manly? segment.
Forgive me for the slightly unhilarious (that's a word, today) first, maybe, 20 seconds. It picks up after that, I swear.
I'm sold.Much like Cleveland, Halifax has something in their history involving large quantities of fire over a body of water. I'm trying to decide which is more badass -- a big, good ol' fashioned explosion, or a river that ignites when you look at it the wrong way.
Halifax is more my speed when it comes to emotions. I tend to not get too overly excited when I see small animals. The only way I'd fit in in Dartmouth is if I won the lottery.
"Holy fuck, the fucking jackpot!"Halifax, as I'm informed through the video, is a Sex Knight. I don't know what that means, but I'm on Travelocity looking for flights so I can figure it out firsthand.
I'd be really scared of the dreadhawk, though. Those birds seem really pissed off all the time. I wouldn't want to piss off a bird like that. Imagine going to Canada and getting your face ripped off by a bird.
"Dude! What happened to your face?"
"I went to Canada and some bird ripped it right the hell off because, apparently, birds in Canada hunger for human flesh."
Don't go to Halifax if you're going to pronounce the word "banal" wrong. Maybe that's why the birds are so bitter there.
So I guess my North American tour begins. From Cleveland I'm heading straight to Halifax, Nova Scotia to get a little crazy.

I've said too much, so I'll let you take it from here.
